Full Idea

I rule that tropes are not properties, because it is not true that one and the same trope of redness is instantiated by two books.

Gist of Idea

Tropes are not properties, since they can't be instantiated twice

A Reaction

This seems right, but has very far-reaching implications, because it means there are no properties, and no two things have the same properties, so there can be no generalisations about properties, let alone laws. ..But they have equivalence sets.
